museum gift shop box set
This piece was designed for the Renwick Gallery's gift shop for the ¡Printing the Revolution! exhibition. This box included a primary catalog, a secondary accordion fold book, a donor flip book, stickers, and a printmaking kit. The primary catalog content consisted of an explanation of how the exhibition was made, an interview with the curator, and a spotlight spread for each artist and their work. The accordion fold book went through printmaking history from the 15th century to the 21st century. This project was used creating Adobe Illustrator and Indesign.
typography
Both typefaces used in this project were designed by type designer Cesar Puertas. He is a prominent Latinx designer and co-founder of ADG Colombia. Throughout the process of this piece, I made it a priority to use typefaces by Latinx designers and look at Latinx designers' works so that I could make a piece that would celebrate their artwork.
color
Color was very important to me in this project. I wanted to used bright vibrant colors that were seen in a lot of the pieces from the museum.
